What Is Smart Film?
Smart Film is a switchable privacy film applied directly onto suitable existing glass to provide on-demand privacy.
Using PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) technology, the film changes between clear and frosted states using electrical control.
When powered on, the PDLC layer aligns and the glass becomes clearer. When powered off, the film returns to its frosted privacy state.
Unlike Smart Glass, which is manufactured as a new laminated glass panel, Smart Film can retrofit suitable existing glass without replacing the entire panel.

The film covers the whole panel. What you specify is how that panel looks once it switches to privacy mode.

Patterns in privacy mode
The film covers the full panel. On request it can be made so that a pattern appears when the panel switches to privacy mode. The clear state is unchanged.

Film colour
The privacy state does not have to be plain white. A colour is chosen with the film and is what you see when the panel is frosted — it is not a colour you switch between.

Custom shapes
Arched, curved and irregular panels are covered to the shape of the opening rather than boxed into a rectangle.
The first four are one panel with the film covering it fully — only the privacy-mode appearance differs. The last is a different opening, covered to its arch rather than boxed into a rectangle. Switched on, all of them are clear.
